I had a doctors appointment yesterday, but when I turned out the secretary hadn't even booked it. So we had to leave. For a while we went to see my mums friend who is in hospital. I really hate it in there. It's where my gran died, and the whole atmosphere is creepy.
Tomorrow marks a year since my uncle died. I miss him.
I went to the library today. I don't know why as I have so many books at home to read already. Anyway, I picked up a Marian Keyes book, and a book on Anne Boleyn. Then went to pick up medicines from the chemist. I have to go to the doctors on Monday again to have another blood test, to find out why B12 vitamin is not being absorbed, and then a B12 injection. Oh, fun.

Father's Day today. I was up early, seeing as I have been for the past 11 mornings, that now I can't sleep in. So I get up feed the cats, let them out, check on the hamster, then hang about until 12. Then we went to the restaurant that we had a table booked in, and all they were serving was BBQ food. We wanted Sunday roasts, so we left there. By this time I was hungry, I had a huge Chinese meal last night, but no breakfast this morning. We decided that because everywhere would be busy that we would go to one of those pub chains that do food. We weren't expecting much, but it was good. I had extras roast potatoes, and butter nut squash and pine nut roast, with vegetables. On the way home we stopped at the supermarket to pick up dessert. I got a box of Flake 99 cones. The one I ate was all melty but so good.
My mum ended up at the hospital last night. Not really the hospital, minor injuries. I have been there before, firstly when I cut my food in the school pool, but that is another story. A mosquito bit her hand, and it puffed out. She is better now, but can't drive whilst taking the tablets. Luckily she drove this morning before taking the tablets when we got home, or we would have been still out walking somewhere still.
Just after midnight tonight will be 1 year since I lost George my hamster. That hurt so bad, having to watch him dye in front of me. I needed to be with him though, but it broke my heart. I still love that little guy, he had a great feisty personality. He is still very much missed.
I'm not feeling good, and it doesn't help that nothing is going right.
The water heater broke last night, so no hot water from now until after Easter. We do have a shower that is seperate, but no baths for weeks, I have a bath at least once a day!

Chocolate birthday cake!

Every week or so I check out the local Cat's Protection site, to see what cats they have in. It makes me want to cry sometimes. I don't see why people want to hurt animals and find it fun. I want to re-home them all, but we already have our hands full with 2 cats, a hamster, and 2 bunnies. We have been to the shelter 3 times now, once to choose our kittens, once to pick them up, and just before Christmas we went to take a donation. Seeing as my uncle isn't around any more, we can the money that we would have spent on him to the cats, and I think that he would have liked that as he loved cats, but couldn't keep them in his flat. All the cats that we have seen seemed friendly, and not like they have changed from being not treated fairly. I know that some have had good lives and just can't be cared for anymore, but the words 'just not wanted' under a cats profile breaks my heart.

Today I had a good day. My sister spent some time together, which isnt unusual, but usually we stay at home and avoid each other quite a bit. Today though we got up and walked into town, to go shopping. It hurt so much to walk. I never walk anywhere, as why walk when you can get a ride? It was rainy too, which was drizzly all day. I wanted to go and look for old Hollywood biographies. I really wanted Marilyn Monroe books, but I only could find a Lauren Bacall book. It was 50p, and the cover price was £20. I love buying second hand books, as you get more for your money. I would rather have 4 books than 1 new one these days. I just wipe them with baby wipes then they usually look new. I also bought The Cookie and Biscuit Bible, which I am going to use, and a Belinda Jones novel. Then we got lunch, before we went to see my dad at work. When we got home I was tired.

I haven't updated here for a long time, mainly as there is little point writing a lot for no one to read it
So Christmas. I am so mixed up about how I feel about Christmas. I have always loved Christmas, but this one will be the first without my uncle, and already 2 weeks before the 25th, I feel sad. The presents, food, and decorations do not seem that important any more, as long as we all have each other. My mum is also working Christmas Eve, Day, Boxing Day, and maybe the day after that. She works at care home for the elderly, so she can't get out of it. I went to my mum Christmas party thing last week, and the place that she works in looks nice. So Christmas Day my mum gets out of work at 2pm, we are going to meet with her at my aunts for dinner, open the presents that they have gotten us, then go back home in the evening for our presents from 'Father Christmas' and each other. I like to open my presents in the morning, but seeing as this year is going to be the same, then it should be ok.
I have been busy these past couple of weeks, which isn't good especially when I feel so tired. I know it's good not to be sleeping, but walking around feeling like a zombie, isn't nice at all. As well as doing the usual things I have had to decorate the tree and house on Sunday. Monday was my mums birthday, but we spent a lot of the day doing things like shopping for cat collars. In the evening I went to the old peoples home. Tuesday we had to go and buy food and things like loo rolls for Christmas. On Wednesday, and Thursday I went to the doctors, and on Thursday we had to take the train there, seeing as there wouldn't be any car parking space left by the time we would get there. So that took all afternoon, and when we got home it was dark. Friday we went shopping to finish buying Christmas presents, and today we had to strip the tree as the fairy lights broke and we had to go to the supermarket to get more, before we put all the decorations back on.
Last Friday we had to take the cats down to the vets and the rabbit. The cats had to get jabs, and cried all the way there, but not on the way back. The rabbit has a lump by his balls, which the vet thinks is a hernia, plus he has to much calcium in him, which we found out when he peed down me. He now has apple juice with his water to try and get him to drink more. It doesn’t seem to be working, maybe he prefers some other beverage. He is doing ok, but is an old boy these days.
I finally opened a photo log. I went out yesterday especially to take photos. Hopefully this will encourage me to take more.
